Bobbie Fisher Recovery 2
Dear Munho,
I am sorry to let you know that my father and mother (Rev. and Mrs. Fisher) have both passed away. My father died January 24, 2003 from heart disease. My mom passed away on April 4, 2004 after a lenghty battle with pneumonia and other infections. My mom lived here with me from March 2003 until she died here at my home in April.
They were both incredible people and I miss them greatly. My mom's courage throughout her ordeal was incredible. A spinal cord injury is devastating. She wasn't as bad as Christopher Reeves since she could breathe on her own though her age became a factor. She just didn't have the respiratory strength that she needed.
Once again, I'm sorry to inform you of their loss. There is a math scholarship fund at Godwin named afer her - the Bobbie Fisher Math Scholarship Fund that is designated to assist students interested in either pursuing a degree in math or have shown great effort in math. Donations are most welcome. My brother and I hope to keep that scholarship going for quite some time as a way to honor her.
Sincerely,
AnnMarie Price

>Dear Rev and Mrs Fisher,
>
>I read the news of Mrs Fisher's accident on Godwin HS internet home page. I was so shocked to hear the news. How is she doing these days?
>
>I studied at Godwin from 1989-1991 and got to know her through math competitions. I never had her class, but she gave me so much encouragement, love, and hope when I needed the most.
>
>I pray for her quick recovery and good health.
>
>Sincerely,
>
